Education - Broadman-Kaplan Early Childhood Center Committee

Purpose: The Education Committee of the Broadman-Kaplan Early Childhood Center (ECC) provides advice and guidance to the ECC Director on overall organization and short- and long-term strategic planning for the ECC. The Committee serves as a vital bridge between the parents of the ECC students, the professional staff, and the synagogue, addressing such issues as enrollment, school policies, curricula, staffing, and financial matters. The committee meets regularly with the ECC Director and reports to the Board of Directors of Tikvat Israel.

Activities (past and present): The Committee actively seeks parental input into improving and expanding the ECC mission, from the new Hebrew Immersion program (which began in the fall of 2004) to the upcoming "Mommy and Me" classes for Moms, infants, and toddlers, beginning in the fall of 2005.

Seeking new members: Anyone with an interest or experience in early childhood education is encouraged to join.
