Social Action Committee

Purpose: This committee promotes tikkun olam (repairing the earth) in our local community. Projects focus on both secular and Judaic needs in the community.

Activities (past and present): Mitzvah Day in the spring, Pedals for the World, clean up of Baltimore Road, projects at Potomac Valley Nursing Home, projects at Stepping Stones shelter.

Seeking new members: We welcome new members to the committee. There are projects that we have been asked to sponsor, but we lack the committee membership to accept additional sponsorship. We meet approximately once a month at a committee member's home.
