Computer glitches and upgrades

August 23rd, 2007 by janaki

Well, once again, after wondering why the blog has been so quiet, I realized that I had upgraded the site awhile ago, and I had again forgotten to change one little line in the code that allows emails to be sent from the blog – which means that no one new can register, and I don’t get notification of comments to approve – all of which leads to user frustration (not to mention administrator frustration!), and you, the user, won’t come back!

My apologies, and the situation is now fixed (I hope).

Please, if you get error messages, please send an email to webmaster@tikvatisrael.org, so that we can fix the problem, and “keep TI talking!”

  1. Steve Raucher says:

I, for one, am uncomfortable with the inclusion of the Imahot in the Amidah. Moreover, I know members of the congregation who are so opposed that they walk out of the service when the Imahot are included. That is a greater concern to me than the halachic permissibility (or desirability) of including the Imahot. While I know of specific people who object to the Imahot, I have not observed any demand, other than the general desire for egalitarianism, for its inclusion. .

Isn’t there an halacha that states that, if any member of the congregation objects to the davining of the shleach tzbor, it is encumbant on the shleach to resolve the issue or step aside? Would’t that apply here?
