United Synagogue Youth (USY)

United Synagogue Youth (USY) for our ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth graders is focused on further developing the leadership capabilities. With the support of an adult advisor, the USY youth plan and implement an annual program that establishes them in leadership roles in the synagogue and the USY movement. These teens nurture important friendships with other Jewish youth in the region and within our own Tikvat Israel community through parties, going to the theater and movies, or by playing on organized sports teams. USY members organize membership drives to encourage other Jewish teenagers to join USY and develop community programming for their USY chapter and regional groups. Once they reach their senior year in high school, USY members are typically eager to continue their Jewish experience as they enter college and become adults.
