Fourth Grade - Dalet
The fourth grade class continues to progress through the tefillah (prayer) curriculum by reading, chanting, and learning key words in each prayer. An interactive approach to learning helps students refines their Hebrew reading skills and fluency. Stories are translated from Hebrew to English. Fourth graders begin focusing on a new era of Jewish history as they study the Prophets and Writings. Biographies of Jews who have made a difference are discussed. Students gain a personal understanding of the concept of mitzvot. Many activities help students gain added appreciation for Jewish values. The class leads a Havdalah service for their families which includes singing, dancing and a play. We also participate in activities with the senior citizens of Ring House.
Schedule: Sundays from 10 am - 12 noon; Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15 - 6:15 pm
