Boker Ohr (Alt. Shabbat Morning Experience)

Saturday - May 12, 2012

Time: 9:15 AM - 12:00 AM

The opening psalms and t’fillot of the Shabbat morning service offer us a way of  moving into prayer mode.  On the Shabbat morning of May 12, beginning promptly at 9:15 a.m., TI Cantor Rochelle Helzner is facilitating an alternative early service in the Flax Library.

She says: “My sister, Robyn, and other members of the congregation will add to the spirit of this service. It will be characterized by joyous singing accompanied by a percussionist. The hand drums will be used as instruments of expression, and rhythm will be used for its uplifting qualities.”

Afterwards, the attendees will join the rest of the congregation in the sanctuary for the Torah service and Musaf.

Please arrive on time in order to experience the service fully.
