ECC's Friedman Featured in Family Magazine.........posted Jan 7, 2007

Aileen Friedman, the outgoing director of the Broadman-Kaplan Early Childhood Center at Tikvat Israel, is featured in the January/February issue of Families ONLY (PDF file), a local magazine.

Friedman is one of three experts included in a forum offering advice on summer camps for youngsters. She addresses questions on the benefits of attending a summer camp, how parents should decide on the best fit of a camp and what questions should be asked of the camp director.

The article, appearing on page 14 of the print edition, will be posted on the magazine's website: www.familiesonly.com.

Families ONLY calls itself Washington's first and only magazine mailed exclusively to family households. It is mailed to geographically targeted zones, approximately 10,000 homes in middle- to upper-middle-class neighborhoods in Montgomery County, upper Northwest Washington and Northern Virginia. An additional 2,000 copies are distributed in each zone through magazine racks at family-friendly destinations.

Friedman, a longtime educator who lives in Baltimore, is retiring this spring as TI's early childhood director, a post she has held since June 2001.
