Following an extensive search, Aurora "Rori" Pollak has been named the new director of the Broadman-Kaplan Early Childhood Center of Congregation Tikvat Israel.
A meet-and-greet event for parents of current as well as prospective pupils will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 6 p.m. at the center.

With some new talent on the court and on the bench, the Tikvat Israel men's basketball team inaugurates its 10th season of play in the Montgomery County Synagogue League with a healthy dollop of optimism.
The TI team will play a nine-game regular season schedule on Sunday mornings beginning Jan. 7 against B'nai Shalom of Olney. All games will be played at Magruder High School with 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. starting times.
