Bricks Bring Bucks in Shul Fund-Raiser.........posted Sep 8, 2007

One hundred and seven engraved bricks are now in place on the newly renovated front patio at Tikvat Israel.

The bricks were specially ordered by congregants and friends of the synagogue earlier this year. They now border the circular area of the patio.

The synagogue raised more than $10,000 as a result of this project. The specially engraved bricks honor and remember many of TIs members and their loved ones and will serve as a lasting tribute for the entire congregation.

"I thank all who purchased the bricks and those who helped in this project," says Neil Newman, who managed the fund raiser. "On your next trip to the synagogue, please take a moment to view engraved bricks."

A second opportunity to order engraved bricks will occur early in 2008. Watch the TI bulletin and the website for details.
