Congregant's New Book on Radical Islamists Draws a Rave.........posted Aug 14, 2009

A review of TI congregant Ilan Berman's new book Winning the Long War: Retaking the Offensive Against Radical Islam appears in the Aug. 14 issue of Washington Jewish Week.

The lengthy review by Jonathan Schanzer is reprinted from The Jerusalem Post. Schanzer, who is deputy executive director of the Jewish Policy Center, which is affiliated with the Republican Jewish Coalition, praises the work, saying in part: "The book lays out a must-read plan for tackling some of America's thorniest foreign policy challenges. Winning the Long War also confirms that nearly all of the policies we are now pursuing are extensions of policies started under Bush."

Here is a link to the WJW review: http://www.washingtonjewishweek.com/main.asp?SectionID=27&SubSectionID=25&ArticleID=11275&TM=32735.88.

Berman works as vice president for policy at the American Foreign Policy Council. If you missed his presentation last month at Tikvat Israel, you can still get an autographed copy of Winning the Long War. The synagogue office has 10 remaining copies (as of Aug. 14) for sale @ $29.95. Contact Michael Grossman, the executive director, to obtain a copy.

Winning the Long War: Retaking the Offensive Against Radical Islam was published by Rowman & Littlefield in Lanham, Md. It runs 140 pages.
