A tribute to our new president at Tikvat Israel, Sam Freedenberg, is the subject of a first-person feature by Rachel Freedenberg in the Feb. 13 edition of the Washington Jewish Week.

Rachel happens to be the president's daughter. She grew up in Rockville and was a member of Tikvat Israel. A graduate of the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School, she now works as a copy editor at j., the Jewish news weekly of Northern California.
