Playing in the Montgomery County Synagogue Men's Basketball League, Tikvat Israel has accumulated two wins in its first four games this winter -- a major improvement over 2008 when the team finished the regular season without a single success. The lattest victory came at the expense of Shaare Torah.

The Jewish people wandered in the desert for 40 years before they reached the Promised Land, but it has taken ArtSites, the Guild for Judaic Art, only 24 years to find a permanent home! ArtSites, The Gallery has opened in the former Tikvat Israel lobby gift shop, located at 2200 Baltimore Road in Rockville, Maryland. The grand opening, featuring participating artists will be Sunday, January 25, from 3-5 P.M.
