Congregants Ratify Synagogue's Budget for Coming Year.........posted Jun 12, 2009
Members of Congregation Tikvat Israel soundly ratified the synagogue's budget for FY 2010 at a congregational meeting in the sanctuary on June 10.
Board Treasurer Carol Chelemer discussed highlights of the $1.6 million spending plan for the next year, which reflects a slight decrease over the current year's budget.
Chelemer fielded questions along with Board President Sam Freedenberg. They told congregants that the current economic climate played a significant role in the construction of the next year’s budget for the shul.
Freedenberg thanked the members of the committee that crafted the spending plan – Chelemer, Larry Gorban, Jesse Kaiser, Rodney Matheson, Kenneth Birrell and Phil Katz.
Copies of the newly approved budget are available from Executive Director Michael Grossman.
