The nominations meeting is set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, with voting taking place one week later. All dues-paying members are encouraged to exercise their vote – which must take place in person! The future -- including the first selection of a new rabbi at TI in more than three decades -- rests in your voting decisions.

The 20-week season of the Community-Supported Agriculture is now accepting registrations from TI members for 2012. CSA is a partnership where urban consumers receive fresh, nutritious vegetables while helping to sustain the livelihoods of area farmers. Tikvat Israel has participated as a produce pickup site for several years, and Tuv Ha’Aretz warmly welcomes Jewish and non-Jewish members. The first pickup date is May 21.

Tikvat Israel members Betsy Nahum-Miller and Shirley Waxman and teen-age sisters Shayna and Rachel Solomon are major participants in an interfaith exhibition and program series involving Jewish and Muslim artists. A series of local programs, including art projects and panel presentations, starts in mid-February and continues into March.
