You can expect an evening of simcha as Cantor Rochelle Helzner, backed by the Mark Novak Band, inspires congregants and the public at her annual concert at Tikvat Israel on Sunday, May 19. The program begins at 7:30 p.m.

This year’s concert theme is weddings, and the show will feature wedding music from an array of Jewish traditions, from chuppah to hora. The evocative arrangement will bring to life the spirit of joy and celebration felt on this happiest of days.

Event sponsors will be treated after the concert to a reception in the Gudelsky Education Wing featuring a wedding cake and other delectable treats. To become a sponsor, contact Aaron Mannes, chair of TI’s Ways and Means Committee, by March 20 at aaron.mannes@gmail.com or 240-472-3839.

Sponsorship levels: Hattan and Kallah, 10 tickets in front row, $5,000; Parents of the Bride or Groom, eight tickets in prime locations, $2,500; Bridemaids and Groomsmen, six tickets in reserved spots, $1,000; Chuppah Holders, four tickets, $500; and Mishpacha, two tickets, $250.

General admission tickets are $25, and student tickets are $18.
