Tikvat Israel is located on Baltimore Road in Rockville, Md., between Twinbrook Parkway and Route 28 and next to Rockville High School. Overflow parking is available at the high school (and usually across the street at the church).

From areas north of Baltimore, Baltimore, Virginia and points south and the southern Washington metro area

From areas north of Baltimore and Baltimore: Take I-95 South to Exit 31B toward MD-200-TOLL W/I-270 onto MD-200 (MD-200 W). Go 10.3 miles to Exit 8B-A toward MD-97/Georgia Ave/Wheaton South. Turn right onto Georgia Ave (MD-97), go .75 mile and turn right onto Norbeck Rd (MD-28). Go 2.25 miles and turn left onto Baltimore Rd. In about .5 miles, you will see Tikvat Israel is on your left.

From Virginia and points south and the southern Washington metro area: Take I-95 and follow signs to I-495 North (the Capital Beltway). From other nearby areas, take I-495 toward Rockville (in the direction of Baltimore). Follow the signs to I-270 North (stay in one of the two left lanes). Once on I-270, bear right to the I-270 local lanes. Take Exit 4A – Montrose Road East/Tower Oaks Boulevard. Bear left at the split in the exit ramp. Turn left at the light onto Tower Oaks Boulevard. Continue for 0.7 miles. Turn right onto Wootton Parkway. Follow directions below (From Rockville).

Locally

From Georgia Avenue: Take Norbeck Road (Route 28) west. After passing Bauer Drive (Rock Creek Shopping Center on left), turn left at the next light (Baltimore Road). Continue for approximately 0.5 miles to the top of the hill. Turn right into the first available driveway entrance for Tikvat Israel.*

From Connecticut Avenue: Take Connecticut Avenue north. Turn left on Veirs Mill Road (3.3 miles past the Beltway). Continue for 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Twinbrook Parkway and follow it to the end. Turn right onto Baltimore Road, passing Rockville High School. Turn left into Tikvat Israel’s parking lot (the second driveway entrance on your left after passing the traffic light at Rockville High School).*

From Rockville: Follow Wootton Parkway east. Cross Rockville Pike (Wootton Parkway’s name changes to Route 911, then First Street). Turn right at Baltimore Road. Follow Baltimore Road for about 1.5 miles. Turn left into Tikvat Israel’s parking lot (the second driveway entrance on your left after passing the traffic light at Rockville High School).*

*Note: If the Tikvat Israel parking lot is full, additional parking is available next door at Rockville High School.

By Train: To reach Tikvat Israel from Washington D.C.’s Union Station, follow signs in the Amtrak train station to the Metro (subway) station. Take the Red Line in the direction of Shady Grove to the Twinbrook Metro station. The synagogue is a short taxi ride or a 30-minute walk from the Twinbrook station.
