In “Introspection Through Art Journaling” Vivian Liebenson will introduce the concept of art journaling, demonstrate just one of the many techniques that can be used to art journal, and explain how you can start a creative, meditative practice throughout the month of Elul and beyond. We will be working in our art journals together for the second half of the class, so you will want to be somewhere you won’t be disturbed, have room to spread out your supplies, and possibly get a little messy 😀
There is no right or wrong way to work in an art journal as you will see in the class. It is something that can be done with a minimum of supplies. Supplies can be found locally at Michaels, Plaza Art Rockville or online at Amazon.com.
You will need:
• an art journal or sketchbook
• something to write with
• and something to add color with (paint, markers, crayons, etc).
I’ve included some of my favorite supplies below, but you do not need to purchase these exact brands.
If you have questions about supplies, feel free to email Vivian Liebenson at vliebenson@gmail.com
