Part of TI’s 2021 Initiative “La’Asot Tzedakah U’Mishpat” To Do What Is Just And Right
Dr. Ida Jones, University Archivist, Morgan State University will discuss “Valiant Maryland Women: The Fight For the Vote.” Baltimore residents Augusta T. Chissell and Margaret Gregory Hawkins were instrumental in the fight for women’s suffrage and yet, like many African American suffragettes, they were overlooked by history. Who were these women and what did they do?
Ms. Diana Bailey, Executive Director, Maryland Women’s Heritage Center (MWHC) will introduce Dr. Jones and discuss the work of the MWHC.
Donations will be accepted and split between the TI Adult Education Committee and the MWHC. Feel free to be generous.
This program will be on Zoom. Check B’kesher for details or contact the office at firstname.lastname@example.org
